The Reference Librarians can help you :
- find answers to quick questions
- locate information and utilize the resources of Browning Library
- search the databases on the library's Web page or on CD-ROM
- find resources on the Web
- develop a research strategy
- compile electronic or print bibliographies on specific subjects
- identify appropriate resources beyond Browning Library
The librarians at the Reference Desk are there to provide you with direct,
personal assistance in using library resources to find the information
you need. Telephone reference service is also available at x2081.
Questions about services and/or reference questions are welcome.
You may also contact the Reference Desk by e-mail from the library
home page. Click on "Ask a Librarian". Questions that can be answered
concisely, such as a hard-to-find address or the title of a new book,
are especially suitable for e-mail reference service. If the answer to
your question is long and involved, or if there are many titles you may
be interested in, the Reference librarians may ask you to come in to the
library. Answers to e-mail reference questions are answered as resources
permit.
