    Introducing the Browning Library

All off-campus students, faculty and staff are welcome at the Browning Library. The Library is located just off 100 South across from the North Instructional Building (the old L.D.S. Institute).

Browning Library's growing resources include over 135,000 books, videotapes, DVDs, CDs and other media. The library has 350 print magazine, journal and newspaper subscriptions. We also have access to over 40 databases that include thousands of full-text online periodicals.

To check out materials from the Browning Library you need a student ID card with a current semester sticker. Student ID cards and current semester stickers are available in the Student Activities Office. If you are registered for 3 credits or less, you may bring your registration form and a picture ID to the library and we will issue you a library card. However, if you are not visiting the library in person, you will not need a library card.

The Browning Library is a member of the Utah Academic Libraries Consortium, a network of academic libraries that share resources and borrowing privileges.

The Browning Library has a librarian assigned to assist distance education students, faculty and staff with their information needs. Martha Talman may be contacted by email at talman@dixie.edu, by phone at (435) 652-7722, by fax at (435) 673-1169, or in person at the Library in Room 111.
